SlopMatch Child Safety Standards
SlopMatch is a dating app for adults. We have zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE), including child sexual abuse material (CSAM), grooming, sextortion, trafficking, and any sexualization of minors.
Adults only
- SlopMatch is only for people 18 and over.
- Every new account goes through an age check. The app first asks Google Play's Age Signals service. If Play can't confirm an adult, the app asks for a date of birth. Anyone identified as under 18 is blocked from using the app and can't get past the check by entering a different birthday.
- The app is listed on Google Play for adults only.
What is prohibited
- Any content that sexualizes, exploits or endangers a minor, including CSAM in any form.
- Contacting, grooming or soliciting a minor, or trying to arrange to meet one.
- Sextortion, or threatening to share intimate images.
- Accounts created by or for anyone under 18.
The app has no photo or video sharing between members, and chat is text-only, which removes the main ways CSAM could be shared through it.
Reporting
- In the app: any profile or conversation can be reported and blocked from the ⋯ menu. Reasons include "Suspected underage user".
- By email: hello@daedalux.com, our designated child-safety contact. We read reports every day.
- If a child is in immediate danger, call 911 or your local emergency number first.
What we do
- We remove any account and content involved in CSAE as soon as we know about it, and we don't allow that person back.
- We report apparent CSAM to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) through the CyberTipline, as US law requires, and we cooperate with law enforcement.
- We keep these standards in line with applicable child-safety laws and Google Play's Child Safety Standards policy.
Beta testing
During the current closed beta, SlopMatch has no live member-to-member connection. The profiles and chats in the app are built-in samples, and testers can't contact one another through it. These standards apply in full as soon as members can connect, and the email contact above is active now.
