SlopMatch Privacy Policy
This policy covers the SlopMatch Android app while it is in closed beta testing on Google Play
(package com.daedalux.slopmatch). SlopMatch is developed by Daedalux ("we", "us").
It will be replaced by a full policy before SlopMatch launches publicly, and we will tell testers in the app when it changes.
The short version
- Everything stays on your phone. The beta app has no internet access. It cannot send your information to us or to anyone else.
- We do not sell, share or rent your information, and the app has no ads, analytics or tracking.
- You can delete your data at any time from inside the app, or remove everything by uninstalling it.
What the app stores, and where
All of the following is stored only in the app's private storage on your device:
- Account details: the email address you sign up with and a salted, one-way hash of your password (never the password itself).
- Profile and taste profile: the profile details and taste categories you enter or approve during onboarding.
- Data export files you choose to upload from other apps you use. The app reads the file on your device to suggest taste categories from your last 30 days of activity, then discards the raw file. It keeps only the categories, which you can review and edit.
- App activity: things like the profiles you like or pass on, blocks and reports, and your settings.
None of this leaves your device. Because the beta app has no network access, we (the developer) cannot see it either.
Age check
SlopMatch is for adults 18 and over. When you sign up, the app asks Google Play's Age Signals service whether you are an adult. If Google Play can't answer, the app asks for your date of birth. We use the result only to decide whether you can continue. The app does not keep the age range Google Play returns, and it does not store your birthday after the check.
Sharing
The app shares nothing automatically. If you use "Share your taste snapshot", the app creates an image of your top taste categories, and it is sent only to the app you choose in Android's share menu. The image contains no name, email or uploaded data.
Google Play
Google provides the app through Google Play and may collect information under Google's Privacy Policy, for example installs and crash reports that Google Play gathers on its own.
Deleting your data
- In the app: Settings → Delete my data removes your uploaded exports and taste profile.
- Uninstalling SlopMatch, or Android Settings → Apps → SlopMatch → Storage → Clear storage, permanently removes your account and all app data.

Children
SlopMatch is not for anyone under 18, and the app blocks users the age check identifies as minors. See our Child Safety Standards.
